Take our Kids to Work Day

Grade 9 students all around the province of BC participated in Canada’s 18th annual Take our Kids to Work, the Learning Partnership’s signature program.  British Hydraulics had the opportunity to host Terry Fox Secondary student, Connor.  Connor has decided to follow a career in Aircraft Maintenance after he graduates, and his day spent in the hydraulic shop confirmed that decision.  He sent a thank you saying “It let me try what I wanted in my career and I loved it”.  Connor spent the day helping out, cleaning some of the equipment and finished the day working in the office with his Mom.  He learned that he definitely doesn’t like bookkeeping!

More Pictures From The Movie Shoot

British Hydraulics Scene

Not sure what was happening here, but my guess would be one of the actors was asking for a script change. What do you think?

British Hydraulics - Actors

This one is a bit of a bloody scene. Makes one want to know what the movie is about, doesn’t it?

British Hydraulics Venue

“That’s a wrap!”

One of the students thanked us for letting them film at our shop, and commented, “It was a magical movie making experience.”

Did you hear that Mr. Spielberg? ;o)
